About the Artist
Holly has dreamed of being an artist ever since she was little. Her mother was a fashion illustrator and a portrait artist, and Holly just loved to watch her work. So it just seemed natural that she began formal studies in fine art when she was twelve years old at Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh. She was awarded an art scholarship to Carnegie-Mellon University. For the past decade, her work has been focused on the figure. Through years of weekly drawing classes and model sessions, Holly have developed an artistic voice, an interpretation of the human form that allows for self expression. She feel that her work will always be an ongoing process as she continues to experiment with the balance between line and shape, representation and abstraction.
